Viral Marketing Challenge–$15K in 30 Days
Dan Raine, a very sharp internet marketer (and creator of the free "Google Slap" reports) is undergoing a 30 Day Challenge to make $15,000 online in 30 days with only a $150 budget. He's using MySpace viral marketing to generate buzz and opt-ins. Dan plans to make money on upsells and back-end offers to the list, combined with a viral "pass-it-along" component.
Fair Warning: Dan is not a newbie. You'll need a solid understanding of copywriting, list-building and internet marketing to follow in his footsteps. Dan has been marketing online for 6 years, and has profitably sold a collection of website businesses for 7 figures ($3 million, to be exact) along with his business partner Andy. Dan also has solid programming skills (i.e. he wrote his own name squeeze script, instead of using a 3rd party autoresponder service, and he previously worked as a programmer). In short, Dan knows what he's doing.
You can learn a lot from this guy. Even better, he's giving away the website and all the profits earned during the challenge. (All you viral marketers take note: He's even making the "site giveaway" competition viral.)
Plus, Dan has an amusing story (from a viral perspective) of how the challenge developed, and what happens if he FAILS to make $15K.
Rules For the 30 Day Viral Marketing Challenge:
- Dan has 30 days to earn $15,000.
- Starting capital is $150
- No loans, or any credit financing. Anything purchased on credit cards will be deducted from the allowed amount.
- No use of any existing software, scripts, or products that he owns. With the exception of standard tools such as an HTML editor, graphics apps, FTP, etc.
- The $15,000 is net profit not gross income.
- It has to be in a non-internet marketing niche.
- All income has to be derived from the internet and can’t come from the sale of any site or business that Dan creates.
- No existing mailing lists may be used, and Dan can’t use any existing sites he owns or friends/friends' lists to promote the business.
Follow Dan's Viral Marketing Challenge to make $15K in 30 Days.
As an aside: There's a guy currently in the middle of a challenge to make $30K in 30 days. He says he's "twice as better" as Dan (not likely.) Do a search; you'll find him. I'm not linking to him.
