I just received an email from Skype, informing me that all calls from Skype to any phone number (computer-based, mobile, or landline) within the U.S. or Canada will be free for the remainder of 2006. That's incredible.

Since I don't call anyone outside the U.S. or Canada, it means free phone calls for the rest of the year (long distance and local). This is a great way to eliminate your phone bill. VOIP (and particularly Skype) is revolutionizing the way people communicate.
